Our roots: The Chagrin Foundation for Arts & Culture

The Chagrin Foundation for Arts & Culture was established by a group of forward-thinking community leaders, citizens, and arts advocates, committed to improving the vitality, quality of life, and economic stability of Chagrin Falls and its surrounding communities, known generally as the Chagrin Valley.

The organization has forged important partnerships with local arts organizations, government, and civic groups to advance mutually-held aspirations for the Chagrin Valley.

Our Mission
The mission of the organization is to enrich lives and promote economic well-being in the Chagrin Valley and Northeast Ohio by collaborating with local, regional and national organizations to present inspiring programs and to be a leader in raising the profile of Chagrin Falls as a highly regarded destination for arts and culture.

The organization will accomplish its mission by:

• Serving as a leader, catalyst, and resource for the arts;
• Encouraging partnerships between public and private sectors;
• Assisting artists and cultural organizations in their efforts to thrive;
• Supporting programs that will add to the region's cultural enrichment; and
• Making effective investments in cultural institutions for the benefit of the community.
