Karen has a strong passion for the performing arts and its power to provide a unique form of communication that transcends all cultural and social barriers. That passion is why she is so excited and energized about being a part of Chagrin Arts since 2013.
Karen is originally from Pittsburgh but has called Cleveland home for the past 37 years. She and her husband Lee, who is the Executive Director of Rainey Institute in Cleveland, live in Solon. They have two married children: a son who is a public high school social studies teacher in New York City and a daughter who is an executive development and advancement recruiter in Chicago. Karen’s interests include her grandson, reading, traveling, baking, and of course, the performing arts!
Lindsey’s enthusiasm for the performing arts comes from her extensive dance background that includes over 20 years of formal training, performances and competitions. She loves how the arts can be used as a way to express one’s thoughts and emotions without using conventional words.
Lindsey formed a “love affair” with Cleveland after moving here from Florida in 2014 to be with her fiance, Aidan, and says it was “meant to be” when she discovered Chagrin Arts while looking up the art and culture scene in NE Ohio. Lindsey holds a B.S. in Advertising and minor in Theatre from the University of Florida and has experience in both marketing and graphic design. Her other interests include painting, traveling, interior decorating, cooking (and eating!), dancing and yoga. In addition to working at Chagrin Arts, Lindsey serves as the Chair of the Chagrin Valley Young Professionals Group and as a Leadership Council Member for Engage! Cleveland, an organization committed to attracting, engaging and retaining young, diverse talent to Greater Cleveland.
